Mortgage Credit Certificates

MCC's give some buyers a dollar-for-dollar break on their federal taxes, up to 20% of the interest costs. This program is for higher income buyers ($60,000 to $105,000 in King, Snohomish, and Island counties). It's also for first time buyers in targeted areas, and your home can't cost more than $480,000 in King and Snohomish counties.

To apply for this program, you have to attend a home buyer's seminar sponsored by the WSHFC, then contact one of the participating lenders. These include:
